I'm not going to go into my crazy gyn, but for an e.coli infection (BV? Not sure. She didn't tell me anything) she gave me flagyl but the thing is.... she gave me 250mg oral tabs AND 250 mg suppositories.
All she said was "Take it 14 days," non-specific to WHICH medication indicated.
So I'm wondering, is it even safe to take a 250mg dose of oral twice a day plus the 250 mg suppository once a day (total of 750mg) for 14 days straight? Sounds kind of deadly...
For those of you who have taken Flagyl, what dosage and duration were you prescribed?
Thanks!

Date: 2011-12-12 02:54 pm (UTC)Normally they do 7 days of one, and 7 days of the other, all in a row. So like...7 days of the pills followed by 7 days of the suppository.
Did she at least clarify that the suppository is vaginal and not anal? :P
