hi all - i need a bit of help.

I've just got a new partner - i'm 31 and have 3 kids.  Basically i'm having what feels like pre-period pains, or eaarly preg pains.  No other signs of preg, have been on cerezette for 10mth no probs.  I'm just wondering if 2 nights a week of... err... intense sex could leave this pain?  test neg, no period (haven't had bleeding for 4-5 month, been with Him for 6 week).  WE kinda get carried away to be honest, and rarely foreplay.

[ETA: have always liked rough sex, but he is .. well.. slightly wider than other partners...]

bit embarressed.

xx

I get some funny cramping sort of pains after sex sometimes, so yes, I think it is possible that's the cause!

Where is the pain? Does it feel more uterine or cervical? If he's large and you were rough, he might have bruised your cervix. I've had that happen and it fades after a few days. If it's crampy uterus feelings, I don't know what it would be.

Cramping after sex and even days after could also be a sign of an ovarian cyst.

In short -- yes, it could be the sex. My experience with larger partners has been that eventually the problem works itself out as my body adjusts and we get a bit better at the angles. Could also be an ovarian cyst. On the other hand? People have been telling me I have ovarian cysts for the past ten years and they've never found any on ultrasounds. I've got "idiopathic pain" and "idiopathic bleeding," meaning nobody really knows what it's from. Good news? If it's from sex, it will probably go away, particularly if you can shift positions a bit.

Lower Abdominal Pain During Pregnancy
http://lowerabdominalpainduringpregnancy.org/

One of the worst fears of expectant mothers is the threat that their baby might not live. Admittedly, there are some babies that are unborn because the babies weren’t strong enough to hold on to their mother’s wombs. Usually, a sharp pain on the abdomen is a sign that something is wrong with the baby or the whole pregnancy but more studies are being done to clarify this.
