Large Clots....

I have had issues with my period since I have had my son 3 years ago. My last cycle started on Nov 14th and ended Nov 24. It started up again on Friday. So it was only about a week apart. I am passing these supper large clots. About 1-2 every hour and soaking up a pad in about a hour or two. The clots are really uncomfortable. NO there is no way that I am pregnant. My husband and I haven't had intercourse in about 4-5 months. Has this happened to anyone? I am thinking about calling the doctor in the morning. Because of all this bleeding I am beyond exhausted.

My cycles are anywhere from 3 weeks to 4 months apart and can last a couple of days to 3 weeks.

I can't offer an answer, but definitely see a doctor ASAP with how much/quickly you're bleeding!

I hope you can get it sorted out, that sounds horrid. :(

I would DEFINITELY call the doctor, especially if you're bleeding so much that you're losing energy. That sounds serious. I hope it gets settled, though, and you feel better soon!

I am thinking that it is actually emergency room time, not just Doctor On Monday time. If the clots are the size of golf balls and you are soaking the pad every hourish, and anemic, you are in potential danger of bleeding out.

However, you may want to first call your doctor -- yes, right now. Your doctor should have an answering service that will direct your call to a doctor on staff, who can tell you if you should wait till the morning or if you should go to the ER.
