My boyfriend came inside of me right after the first day of starting birth control for the first time.  It was also the last day of my period when he came inside. I'm freaking out that I may be pregnant and can't wait a month to find out. What do you think are my chances of being pregnant? :(

Low, since it was on the last day of your period but if you ovulated early then there is still a chance. There is always a chance.

I would take Plan B just to take extra precaution. I'm not sure what your chances are, but if I were in that position, I would take Plan B.

I'd wait for someone more knowledgeable than me to answer your question. I know this is stressful :(

If it was under 72 hours you can take plan B... there is also a stronger one you can get at some Pharmacies.

If you're on the last day of your natural period... No, it may not help at all. Not unless you started the first day of your natural period. It takes 7 days for the hormones in the birth control pills to hypnotize your ovaries. If you are someone who ovulates shortly after your period, then your ovaries may not be hypnotized in time, and could pop out an egg.

If it is vital that you not become pregnant, I would advise Plan B as soon as possible. If you have a plan for an unplanned pregnancy that you are willing and able to go with, then your risk acceptance may be such that it'd be okay to bet on not-ovulating before the hormones cut in.

Either way, you can take a pregnancy test and have good confidence in a negative 19 days after the sex in question.

Good luck!

Not a huge amount, unfortunately, as you'd only taken one day's worth and generally speaking on the combined pill (I believe progesterone-only pills can be different) it takes seven days for you to be protected (assuming you don't miss any pills.) It is CONCEIVABLE that you might have already ovulated/ovulate in the next day or so in which case yes, you could get pregnant. However, my understanding is that it should be very unlikely for you to ovulate - but, possible.

If it's something that's going to eat you up, take plan B. General thinking is also that a pregnancy test can be considered fairly reliable from about 19 days after the sex in question, so you don't have to wait quite a whole month if you don't want to!

Hope everything works out for you.

How long was your period? If it was five or fewer days, your chances of conceiving are fairly low.

The chances of getting pregnant from sex on cycle day 5 are fairly low, honestly. It's not impossible, but it's not impossible to get pregnant using birth control correctly. You may wish to get emergency contraception, as others have suggested, but I would be surprised if you got pregnant.

That part doesn't actually matter. It doesn't matter how many days you bleed. The hormonal cycle that eventually leads to ovulation starts on the first day of your period, and that's the important day.

The chances are fairly low, but not impossible. I think I read somewhere that sperm can live for about 7 days? which means that if you ovulate early, there may be an egg to fertilize. Unless you actually track your cycle carefully, there is no way of knowing if this may be the case. And birth control isn't effective until you have taken it for a week.

If pregnancy would be a complete disaster, I'd personally go and get Plan B - because you might be lucky, but equally you may not. I wouldn't want to take the chance.
