I just switched birthcontrols from Cyclessa to Yasmin at the beginning of the cycle...like 2 weeks ago. I have also gained 3 pounds. In two weeks. With no change in diet or exercise. Is there any correlation? Help?

3 pounds is so little. Your body weight can fluctuate that much over the course of a day just from eating and drinking. Don't worry about it.

But really - you'd notice a weight difference if you just weighed yourself at different times of the day. It's how bodies work. And the distribution of three pounds over a whole adult body is such that it's not even noticeable.

What you might want to do is weigh yourself naked every single morning before eating or drinking anything. If after a long time (like, say, a month or two, to account for menstrual bloating as well) you're still 3 pounds heavier on average, then you can fret about it. Until then, though, it's probably nothing.

for real. in a single month (and sometimes in a single week) i can go five pounds in either direction from my "normal" weight. in general, i just don't worry about it. if i'm proportionate, i don't even bother to look at a scale.

i did gain a couple pounds on the pill, but to be honest, it was all in my chest and i didn't mind a bit. :)

I've gained a cup-size over the past year (additive with the pill and me just being a lazy lump!) and I want my a-cup back!

I'm on Yasmin, and it hasn't affected my weight at all. In fact, I'm told that it's the pill most dancers go on, for that precise reason.

My weight can fluctuate as much as six pounds in a day. I used to be a dancer, so I understand your concern, but try not to worry about it. Three pounds is really very, very little. It could come from anything, such as drinking a lot of water, eating a big meal, or even if you hadn't pooped yet that day before you weighed yourself. Try not to worry about it.

Once, I weighed myself in the morning. Then, around noon, I weighed myself and I was a few pounds heavier. It happens. Seriously, be lucky to have only noticed 3 pounds. I doubt that it's due to BC. :)
