So for the last week or so, I could kind of tell that my period was on its way. I felt crampy, had lower back pains, felt bloaty, etc.

Well, I finally got it last night, and it is not at all like my normal period. Typically on the first day of my normal period, it's like... blood. LOTS OF BLOOD. And when I went to change my tampon this morning, I saw a little bit of brown... stuff, and some light pink on it. I just changed my tampon again, and there's less brown and just a tiny bit of pink.

Is this normal?

Sometimes periods just go weird. They are even more likely to do so if you're on hormonal birth control of some kind. However, if you are sexually active, you may want to watch what your period does. If you don't get what you consider a normal heaviness, and especially if you aren't on hormonal birth control, I'd get a pregnancy test Just In Case. If you're in the US, peeonastick.com likes Dollar Tree Store tests.

Hope you feel better soon!
