so, after a visit to the gyn. i've discovered i do not have a yeast infection. good! but im still not feeling well. im very sure that i have a uti, so ill be getting a more in depth urine test (what is that called?) and will be gracing the dr. office with my urine tomorrow. the test results take a few days, yes?

the gyn did tell me that i had very very very small traces of B.V., bacterial vaginitis(? i dont remember the name, help me out?). she said it wasnt really enough to diagnose, but perscribed me flagyl anyways because i have been uncomfortable.

i sort of want to wait until i find the test results before taking the antibiotic.

but the reason for my post is that i have found some amazing and very immediate solutions to : burning when urinating, and vaginal itching. it also helps with the frequency of having to urinate but not so much the urgency. they're all natural remedies. first of all, drinking pure cranberry extract cut down with seltzer or water is amazing. it tastes sour but really makes a huge difference. it's a little pricey but very much worth it. also, cranberry extract pills. you dont have to take both but if you're really in pain, doubling up the dosage (and this way you dont have to drink so much juice) really helps. also, acidophilus. my mom found acidophilus pearls, made by enzymatic therapy-natural medicines. the woman (who is so great) at the health food store informed us that for the first three days, i should take one pearl, and then after that, take two a day, until the pack is empty. these three things took away the itching and made it so much more comfortable to urinate within hours. the remedies are natural which makes them a million times better. i am so ecstatic about how much better i feel that i just had to share when you all.

Yay. I have to second the cranberry concentrate and seltzer water duo, I've done it before and it most certainly works! I hope you feel better soon dear <3

What’s an acidophilus pearl? I take acidophilus pills every month during the time when I’m most likely to go out of whack (it really helps), but I’ve never heard of a pearl.

Whenever I drink juice (whatever variety it is), I have to dilute it. Even cranberry juice has a too “juicy sweet” flavor and makes me feel loopy. My preferred method of dilution is, indeed, seltzer.
