So, Saturday night, my man and I are getting it on, with a condom, since we just got back together and I haven't taken birth control. Everything's lovely and great, and as we switch positions, we realize that the condom is missing.

So we check the bed, the floor, the sheets, and I check myself, then he checks me. No sign of the missing condom. I figure we'll find it in the morning, so he puts on another one, and we resume.

In the morning, he checks again, around the room, for the condom. Nope. Still not there. I tell him it'll probably turn up later.

So anyway, Sunday night, we're talking and he mentions that he had found the condom on the side of the bed. (edit: it was most likely another one we had kinda thrown off to the side in the heat of passion)

Last night, I was feeling a little frisky, and I decided to give myself some self-love. I feel something rather funny, rubbery, inside... I'm thinking what the hell is this?!

And I pull out the condom from Saturday night.

This is scary. Has this happened to anyone before? What are the chances of me getting an infection or something?

Yeah, that's happened to my husband and I before...well...not finding it a few days later, but we *have* gotten them stuck inside me before, and he's had to go digging around. You should be ok... I don't know if you're on BCP's or not, but if it happens again, you might want to look into getting emergency contraception, because even if he didn't cum inside of you, you can still get pregnant...

It's not too late for EC, if the poster think's it's necessary (she didn't indicate that she was worried about pregnancy, but rather about infection, so I don't know.) The chances of pregnancy are probably pretty low, but it's still a possibility. For details about EC (and the fact that it can be effectively taken up to 120 hours after intercourse), see this post in the feminist community (http://www.livejournal.com/community/feminist/577633.html).
