Okay, so some backround. I was just diagnosed with PCOS, i'm on the NuvaRing, i'm 200% not prego and I just had a cyst on my ovaries rupture. My breasts have been insanely sore for the past two days and it's getting to the point where it is soo uncomfortable. Anyone have any idea what I can do to ease the discomfort at all? If not anyone want some boobs cause i'm about to cut them off!

Been there, done that, hon. Hormones going wonky can cause that, and a cyst burstage will definitely cause wonkage. Generally I found that either picking a super comfortable bra or not wearing one at all would help, depending on what type of sensitivity I had. (Actually about the only time I have worn a bra in the past couple years is when my hormones have been wonky.)

Uhm. If they're skin sensitive, maybe an oatmeal bath would help too, if your tub is deep enough to submerge and let them free float.

Otherwise, mostly, wait it out. :-\

What kind of "sore"? Achy? Burning? I like ice for achy pains and vaseline for burning itchy sort of pain.

About all I can think of is making sure you have just the perfect bra. If it is too big, it will hurt. if it is too small, it will hurt. Oddly, I have a strapless bra that is Just Right when my breasts are really sore.

You may also want to consider Vitamin B -- I take it to keep from being overly moody during PMS, but it also seems to reduce the amount of soreness in my breasts during that time. (Some people get angry or anxious with extra B, though, so be alert.)

Good luck!

3000 IU's of Evening Primrose oil, 2000 in the am and 1000 at night is what the Mayo Clinic recommends and it's worked really well for me. It took less than 24 hours for relief. Walgreens usually has it. My doctor also told me I could use aspercreme for sore breasts, and it's been helpful for me in the past.
