Latex smell?

Anyone know how to avoid latex smell after sex when using condoms? (I'm assuming he wants to do oral but doesn't like the smell/taste) I was thinking of maybe flavoured condoms, but he needs the large kind and we can only find them in Trojans. Is there a lube or something that might eliminate the problem?

There are lots and lots of flavored lubes. We sometimes distribute the ID ones from work-there are several places you can probably order sample packs from with a variety of flavors.

Just be careful to change condoms and not use the flavored stuff for anything other than oral sex. It can cause irritation or infections in some people if it gets inside.

I would agree with gemini...watch out for flavored and scented lubes. They can lead to infections (yeast or bacterial) or irritation in women. I would be pretty sure to clean yourself pretty well after using these lubes.

You also have the option of using non-latex or female condoms. I don't know if they have a residual taste/smell, but they are both made out of polyurethane (or, in the case of non-latex, lambskin or other materials), so they wouldn't have the latex taste/smell.

True about the polyurethane condoms but the all have lubricant on them to start with. I'm allergic to latex and I think I'd give up oral sex before I started using condoms for it with the lube.

No no, I think she more meant that instead of using the Trojans, you could use the female condoms for sex. They're made to be very large and therefor your bf could probably fit in thevm just fine. Then, since there's no latex smell, there'd be no worries.

I was addressing the latex smell problem, not the lube issue, when I mentioned the female condom. It was supposed to be two separate thoughts.

if I recall correctly, lifestyles condoms have the least latex-y smell of any of the condoms I have tried. I remember trojans being REALLY bad.

I'll concur on that one. After one episode I made my boyfriend double-check the expiry date on the trojans. I could smell it the whole way through sex and I was paranoid it was me and not the damn condom that was smelling off.

Yeah, I totally have the same problem! I picked up some Trustex flavored condoms from our campus clinic, but they're the same, too small size that normal condoms seem to be. Trojan Magnums are the only ones that work for my boyfriend. Does any manufacturer make larger condoms that are flavored?

Trouble finding a large enough condom is not just your problem, it's mine too! My BF just makes it with a Magnum Trojan. Even then there are times where he is so super hard that the pinch of the condom (in tightness) is just to much to let him keep him hard. I would love to find a condom as good as Trojans and others, but that come larger than magnum's.

Perhaps have him do his pussy munching before sex, so there's no taste to speak of. Also, I've noticed that what I thought was latex taste was actually nonoxydol-9 taste, so if you get unlubed condoms and use your own unflavored lube it's much better.
