Can Astroglide cause a yeast infection? Astroglide will not cause a yeast infection, however, there have been several women's journals citing glycerin as a source of yeast infections. This is not true! In fact, some yeast infection cures contain glycerin. An existing yeast infection can be made worse by using products containing a large percentage of glycerin. This is because the sugars in glycerin act as a food source for the yeast. Women who are prone to yeast infections should use a lubricant that does not contain glycerin.
For masturbation and intercourse, I prefer Liquid Silk, but for anal sex, I prefer Probe. (I normally hate Probe. It's way too sticky. But it lasts. Liquid Silk doesn't need to last, it eventually blends well enough with my own fluids. But butts don't self-lubricate.)
A thicker non-glycerin-based lubricant that is similar to Maximus, but with very little taste (many customers find it to have not taste, but those with very sensitive taste buds may find it a little bitter). It's not as thick as the Maximus, but thicker than Liquid Silk, doesn't get sticky, and is one of the lubes we recommend for use with condoms, due to its long-lasting slickness.
Sounds a little like Astroglide, perhaps. Astroglide's pretty fun. I know boys who prefer it for masturbation. It's not my favorite, as it requires definite washing off, afterwards, but it's not sticky like Probe.
Actually, the stickiness is why I don't like Astroglide. I haven't tried Probe, but if Astroglide is nonsticky by comparison, I probably don't want to. :)
I like it because it's more slippery, it doesn't ever dry up and get gunky, and you only need a teeny bit at a time so the bottle lasts forever. It's also good for massages. :)
I find many of the specialty lubes on the market contain fragrances, or something that makes me itch within hours of using it. An "old" tube of KY will do that too (bacteria). I'm pretty sensitive to lube ingredients, so KY works the best for me. Mini pockets or single use tubes work too, as long as it isn't filled with flavors or fragrance.
Well, for a little while now, I have liked my KY Warming Liquid. It is colorless and tasteless like regular KY, but warms up to the touch and produces the awesomest sensation during sex or masturbation :) NOT fer yer butt though. It burns! Astroglide is good for the 'dirty butt sex', or that is what we like to call it :->
When it comes to lube, I'm not fond of thick lubes, as I've found they all tend to go sticky with time and friction. I'm in looooove with a thin, ultra-slippery lube called O'My, which I purchase from Toys in Babeland. (http://www.babeland.com) The product blurb reads:
"From Canada comes a great all-natural water-based lube. Not only can you actually pronounce all the ingredients, but it's also got hemp oil in it. To quote the makers: `Hemp helps contribute to a healthy pH, discouraging the growth of bacteria, yeasts and even fungal infection.` It's nice and light, with the vegetable-based glycerin giving it a slightly sweet taste."
This stuff is so nice you could use it as skin moisturizer. And thin as it is, it has remarkable staying power.
I used Pleasureglide and found it didn't last long.
I like Slippery Stuff Gel. Good for cunts, asses, and jacking off--no taste that I can detect and no smell. Water soluble, but lasts and there is not glycerin.
The best lube available, in my opinion, is Intime (pronounced in-ti-MAY... there's an accent agu but I don't know how to do it on my keyboard). It's wonderful! It's so watery, not all sticky or thick, and it lasts quite a bit longer than regular lubes. And the bottle is a fair size for $11 C.
accent agu (over an e, that is) can be made on most pc computers by holding down ALT and typing 130 in the side keys (not the ones above the letters). Don't think it works for Macs, though.

I just got some, actually. I'm pretty happy with it. When I first tasted it, there was a sort of weird taste to it, but then when I tasted my fluids after having used it, I didn't notice any weird taste.
My partner and I use pure coconut oil. It smells nice and doesn't have any side effects. We buy it from a local natural food store and a bottle lasts quite a while. I just strongly recommend puttind down a towl first and don't let it heat up too much or it might go rancid. Next to that I'm a big fan of Astroglide. Now go practice and see which one you like the best! ;-)
My boy and I go through a lot of lube, yay for good sex! Our favorite lube is Liquid Silk...it's great! Not too sticky, blends into my natural fluids, no leftover sticky stuff, and the handpump on the bottle is terrific too!
