spotting.

hi, so. i've posted a lot about this same problem during the past week. but well. i've been bleeding/spotting for nearly two weeks now (period days, then two days off without bleeding, then i took the nuvaring out & have been bleeding for a week). is it normal to bleed this long? when is it going to stop? is there anything i can do to speed it along or whatever? am i bleeding more because i was allergic to it? i've never spotted/bled this long and it's a)starting to worry me & b)getting on my nerves.

any comments would be much appreciated. thanks.

I think it's probably pretty normal. Adjusting to being off of hormones can be weird, and it can take a while to get back to normal. Granted, it probably had more to do with the object in my uterus than the hormone issue, but after I got my IUD I spotted for 5 or 6 weeks.

If it's bugging you and making you nervous though, can you call your doctor just to ask that question? make sure you take your vitamins, and i hope it stops soon!

& i was only on the ring for five days, so it's just sort of weird to be bleeding this long. especially since i was on yasmin the previous month for the same amount of days, and i didn't have any withdrawl bleeding.

i'm not totally sure about this but, i bet yasmin and the IUD have different amounts of hormones. And the fact that you have taken two different types of bc in such a short period of time your hormones are most likely out of whack and it will take a few cycles to straigten back out.

? there was no IUD involved.

they were taken a month apart. yasmin one month for five days (september). nuvaring for five days this month (october).

i just don't get why i'm still spotting/bleeding seven days after removing the ring. it's getting a bit ridiculous.

ah nuvaring sorry.

but still, hormones have a very large effect on your body. it's probably going to take more than one cycle for you to get straigtened out.

I would suggest that you consult with your doctor, just to be sure.
