[identity profile] irememberaurora.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] vaginapagina
feel like i've been posting a lot lately. i've been having lots of vaginal angst and so here i am. (my fiance suggested i post here, which i found quite cute, especially since he referred to it as "vag-pag." he doesn't have LJ and has never been to the website, but has heard me mention it from time to time... though never as vag-pag.)

anyway, i started monistat 7 last thursday night and am supposed to insert an applicator-full into my vagina each night. my last night of this should be wednesday night well, i've been doing that, and obviously not overfilling the applicator (it's the disposables, if anyone's curious) since it's impossible to. also, it says i can put on some cream anywhere that's irritated or itchy, but i haven't. well, tonight i had to REALLY squeeze and i JUST barely got enough cream out to fill the applicator. i doubt i'll have an applicator-full tomorrow, and i probably won't have any at all on wednesday. i don't understand... shouldn't the tube have enough for a 7 day treatment? should i just use it all up in tomorrow's and try not to worry, or should i buy another kit just so i have enough for tomorrow and wednesday nights? i've been asymptomatic, so i can't even tell if i'm feeling better. i didn't even know i had it - i was told to treat it during a colposcopy, and the doc recommended 7 day treatment over 1 or 3 day.

also, who else likes or doesn't mind getting their period? when i used pads, i HATED getting it, and when i switched to tampons only, i didn't mind so much. however, once i started using the keeper this year, i actually don't mind at ALL getting my period. i'm considering progestin-only pills as well as the mirena IUD, and the thought of not getting my period makes me kind of sad. i mean, i know it's safe and all, and i am willing to forego my period in order to use one of those kinds of BC methods, but it's still just a little sad. i think i'd miss having my period.

i would definitely miss having my period. luckily the only way that i wouldn't get my period is if my body did something naturally, since i won't go on birth control that screws with my body. i used to really not like my period, but when i got a keeper & cloth pads and started using herbal remedies for cramps and just generally got more in touch with my body, i really made peace with my period and started to love it.

Yeah... my period is coming up again, and I just ordered a lunapad to use along with my Divacup. I am actually looking forward to getting it! I'm also reading a book called Take Charge of Your Fertility, that's about the FAM. Very cool.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention how learning fertility awareness made me like my peroid so much more! I'd never wish it away.
