I was wondering if anyone knows of any way to temporarily (or hey, completely!) stop a period once it has ALREADY STARTED?

My boyfriend and I get to have our first sleep over in three months tonight, and of course, my period has to come not only early but the morning of this much looked forward to event.

Yeah, I know, we could have sex while I'm on it, but I personally would much much rather we didn't. Any way to make the bleeding stop, if only for a few hours?

Have sex in the shower.
Less mess. Still much pleasure.
Or have sex normally
and just keep some wipes handy.
sex on the rag isn't all that bad. thankfully my boy doesnt mind.<3.

Lucky. My boy avoids my nether regions like the plague when I'm on the rag.

...Not to insult your taste (sincerely), but to express disdain at the general womb-fearing community. You know. "Men". In General.

Have you taken him to see the vagina monologues or anything like that? That's turned more than a few boys I know around. We can't show them all how awesome menstruation is, but the most of them can at least tolerate it as "extra lubrication".

Was safeguarding myself against a slew of comments reading HEY NOT ALL MEN ARE LIKE THAT MY GUY LIKES YANNI AND MENSTRUATION YOU FEMINAZI. So, there you go.

I'm not sure how "in general" would protect against that (after all, saying "in general" doesn't change that it's a generalization), I'm not sure what liking Yanni has to do with it, and I've heard "feminazi" used in so many different ways that I can't tell what it means from this context.

good grief

Although sex in the shower can cause some problems with natural lubrication. Which might be an issue if you're using condoms.

Very true. If you stick to the wall away from the water and have one of your backs to the spray as opposed to the spray hitting your sides, though, it should be okay.

I don't think even starting BC would really stop it once it's started. In fact, it might just make your period last longer or cause spotting throughout the month, especially if you've never been on it.

There's really not a guaranteed way to do this. Sometimes, sex will slow or stop my flow for a little while, or sometimes exercise or an orgasm...but it's not consistent, really.

That fits with my showering-while-on-the-rag experiences. Then it all comes out for the towel. >_

if your not in the thick of it ;), try going to the swimming pool or having a long bath before. It definately lightens it a little, especially at first. It also makes it all virginy red when it does start, rather than natural rust. You'll need to use lubricant after that soaking.
