OK, so I'm no doctor, but here are some ideas for temporary relief. You should also call your GYN's office and leave a message with the service that you need to talk to someone ASAP. Most GYN's will have somebody covering for them if they're out for several days like that.
Tylenol (acetominophen), Motrin (ibupropfen), and Aspirin all relieve pain and reduce swelling and inflamation, you could take one of these to try to relieve some of the discomfort. An ice pack (brr!) might help (make sure there is cloth of some sort between you and the ice bag!) for similar reasons.
You may be having an allergic reaction to some component of the ring, in which case any antihistimine would help.
Otherwise, yeah, your GYN, or some GYN, needs to see you as soon as possible. I hope you feel better very soon, that sounds awful.
