Is it normal to get like a day of withdrawal bleed on the pill? And to get alot of brown discharge?

Yes! The hormones can cause the uterus to not build up much lining, so when the hormone drop comes, there's just not that much -- or not that much fresh -- to kick out. (Heck, even if one has never taken HBC, sometimes a brown sludge period happens.)

Yup. that's your uterus just cleaning itself out. If the script you're taking isn't strong enough or your hormones haven't balanced to it, you'll get what is known as breakthrough bleeding. It can be spotty and brown and light and come at odd intervals. If it's happening all the time, change up your script.

Yep. When I was on HBC my "periods" were about 12 hours of brown sludgy spotting -- that just old blood that's had time to oxidize. Very normal. Some people find they don't bleed at all after awhile, because HBC has been so effective at thinning their uterine lining.

I'm on ortho, and the first day of my period I normally just have brown discharge that is very sticky. I think it's pretty normal when you're on birth control.
