So this week I decided to stack my birth control, beginning on Saturday night. Both Saturday and Sunday night, my roommate was already asleep when I came home so I kept the light off and took what I thought were my own pills. Neither of us noticed until I discovered today that I was actually taking her Yasmin, opposed to my Ortho Tri Cyclen. Is anything seriously wrong going to happen to me? And should I just begin taking my pills tonight like normal?

Thanks for any help!

EDIT: Will this have any effect on the effectiveness of stacking my pills?

No, nothing seriously wrong will happen. The change in progestins may or may not cause some mild side-effects (since it was only two days, more likely not), but there's nothing to be concerned about. Continue taking your pills tonight as normal, and make sure your roommate is able to make up the two pills that are now missing from her pack.

Effectiveness won't be affected, since all birth control pills, regardless of dosage, have the same effectiveness rating. If hers had a lower dose of estrogen, you might be at a slightly higher risk for breakthrough bleeding while you stack, but they're pretty close and your roommate's dose is higher. What's your roommate going to do?
