So, this has been happening for some time. Whenever I get aroused, I get these shooting pains in my vagina. It isn't bad enough to stop, and it has nothing to do with whether I'm being touched or not. I sort of associate them with producing lubrication, but I'm not sure. I see a pelvic pain specialist for vaginismus, and I mentioned it to her, but she didn't really address it.

Me:
21, dating one man for the past six years
I got Mirena about 4 months ago, but this happened before that
I have zero risk for STDs
I have vaginismus

So, what's up? I would really like for this to stop happening.

I get this feeling too, but I think like you that it's associated with producing lubrication. If it's not too cumbersome, I'd say just try and get used to it. I actually am sometimes grateful for the feeling, because then I know I'm wet enough to continue sexual activities. However, if it's an incredible pain you have trouble getting over, I'd make sure your doctor understands your problem. :/
