I have a UTI. Should I abstain from sex until it is cleared up?

If you do abstain, it will help it clear up more quickly.

Sometimes a UTI can be caused by sex. If one of you happens to not be freshly washed (which happens all the time) it can cause that.

I would. It will just irritate it more if you continue to have sex. At least abstain for a few days, until the antiboitics have kicked in and things start to look a lot bteter.

sex can push bacteria up into your urethra, which could give you a UTI- and apparently the more sex you have, the more bacteria can get into your bladder and cause an infection.
if i were you, i would at least drink a giant glass of water before, and make sure you urinate immediately after. that'll flush a lot of bacteria out. it's worked for me. :)
