what factors effect our vagina's taste and smell? after reading the comments about someone's switch to veggetarianism and her hopes of tasting better -- i realize that food may have something to do with it, but what else?

what about with boys? i was reading a magazine today that said boys generally tend to taste like chlorine. i've only had one sexual partner. i've always thought he's tasted like a combination of soap and ink from a bic pen. <-- don't deny it, everyone's tasted ink at some point. or not. but i have.

i had a UTI about three weeks ago. since recovering from it, though, i've noticed that my pee smells different. my pee doesn't have that normal urine smell...it smells like something more musky and meaty.

any thoughts on why my pee doesn't smell normal anymore? the odd smell isn't accomanied with urine that is inconsistant in color or clarity. i'm not showing signs of a kidney infection, bladder infection, or another UTI. could these just be reeeeeeally lingering effects of the medication i took to treat it?

kind of a long post, i know. rambling thoughts about odors coming from my cooch. i'd love to hear input about anything, though. anything and everything.

asparagus, no. i abhor the vegetable. brocolli -- yes and no. nothing more than usual, but it is a common vegetable in my diet. i don't eat meat. er. i don't eat mammal, or chicken much. but i do eat other poultry and fish.

and all this makes me wonder why my pee smells meaty. because i don't ingest meat. my SO however is extremely carnivorous, and my urine's odor is particularly strong during my post-sex piss. it's just that, before my UTI, this odor didn't linger. now it just seems like a constant thing.

also, my bladder hasn't had the same high-degree of control since my UTI. is this a common thing?

so many questions. based on all of this, does anyone think this is worth mentioning to a doctor? i've only got a few days left at home before i leave for school. i'd have a mighty time trying to squeeze in an appointment, but it'd definitely be worth it if any of this seems unusual to anyone else.

I've been a vegetarian for 5 months now and my b/f hasn't noticed a difference and neither have I.
On the other hand my b/f eats a lot of spicy foods and I can taste it, but now that he has really cut down on them the spicy taste is gone.

Are you dehydrated at all? Sometimes, urine and vaginal smells will become stronger and kind of strange if you don't drink enough water. Also, try drinking cranberry juice, because it's good for your urinary tract. (Unsweetened is best). Blueberries are also good for your urinary tract (and the rest of you, too. :))

As for men, diet can affect their taste and smell too, as can hydration.

I was a vegetarian long before my boyfriend and I got together, so I don't know about the taste of ME. But after he became a vegetarian, his cum has started having almost no taste at all! It's so much better now that he's meat-free.

i think mostly vegetarianism effects the taste of cum not snatch. Certainly guys...well dont exactly taste better...because they never really end up tasting good. But the taste will go away if they are a vegetarian. I think this takes about 2 wks to begin to take effect...i could be wrong.
