Can taking Diflucan affect oral contraceptives? I was on Diflucan last week, just for one day, and I'm also on birth control. I was supposed to get my period, but it's late, and I wasn't sure if that had anything to do with it.

As far as I know, they don't affect one another. I love Diflucan, only had to use it once but boy was I grateful that it worked. =)

Somtimes being sick can affect your cycle, even on the pill.

*nods* But not in a make-you-pregnant way, just in a throw-off-your-period-a-bit way. :)

Shit, really? Neither my pharmacist nor my doctor told me when I had it prescribed. I only took one dose, but still, they should have told me. Well that sucks. =/

Isn't it an antibiotic? Any antibiotic can interfere with your bcp's effectiveness. You could call your pharmacist to find out exactly how.

I hope not, I have 3 packs in my bathroom and I couldn't afford to go out and get something else right now.
