Quick synopsis: A stripper has had aggravated assault charges filed against her by a patron of the club she works at, due to a stream of breast milk hitting him in the face during a lap dance. The stripper had recently given birth, but did not think she was lactating at the time.

Date: 2003-08-02 12:42 am (UTC)I realize that not all women are aware of their bodies, but we are not talking accident, she squeezed her breast to make milk come out. By her saying, "Do you want to see this?", it's apparent that she knew something was going to happen. I don't know of anyone who appreciates unwanted body fluids on them, especially if it's not totally accidental. She squeezed her breast, it's not like it just dripped out, and she excused herself (which if that were the case, I'd be on her side). It would be the same if she squeezed her breast and wiped it on him.

Date: 2003-08-02 09:47 am (UTC)It's a normal thing for strippers to say something like, 'you want some of this?' then fondle themselves, squeeze their own breasts, etc.
Obviously, she was holding her breasts as demonstration. 'This' was her boobs. Boobies full of milk will squirt with pressure like that.
I feel bad for her. How embarassing for her. I'm guessing she was not breastfeeding, and this probably surprised her.
That's NOT assault. :P That was an honest mistake. It was NOT acceptable, of course, and the manager should do something for him, but this guy should lose the suit because there were no damages. He was not assaulted, he was not injured.
What a jerk.

Date: 2003-08-02 11:58 am (UTC)Men tend to react violently negatively at the thought of a lactating stripper, probably precisely because it demonstrates that the woman is more than just a sex object and hence confronts them with the potential inappropriateness of their desire. They then channel the anger at themselves for getting a hard-on at some baby's momma into anger at the stripper for daring to present herself as an object of desire while lactating. I'm quite sure that's what was going on here.

Date: 2003-08-02 12:56 pm (UTC)According to http://www.utmb.edu/utmbnews/news_briefs/AIDS_saliva.htm
"HIV-positive milk and semen are highly infectious, probably because these fluids contain white blood cells that are infected by HIV and the antibodies can’t get inside these cells to attack the virus."
Perhaps this is just my hypochondriac mind being very paranoid of disease, but however remote, for the possibility of contracting HIV, this is the reason I would be upset at her (not for it being breast milk).
