I started HBC almost 2 weeks ago. Two days after i started it, I got a yeast infection since my body was getting used to it. I used the 7 day monistat cream, which ended 2 days ago. I had sex today and my vagina burned a lil and is a lil sore, the same kind that I felt when I was just getting the yeast infection. How long does it take the body to get used to HBC to where it wont cause yeast infections? Im afraid that after 2 weeks, my body still isnt used to it and it will come back. Any opinions or help would be appreciated.

I seemed to get them at the drop of a hat when I was on hbc.

I find that sometimes topical vaginal medications (creams for YI or BV) can make my bits sore and hypersensitive for a while. Also, if you had condomless sex at the beginning of your YI, your partner might have given it back to you. That can happen. And sometimes OTC treatments just don't work.

Buuut, HBC can throw your vaginal flora out of balance, too. Sometimes it gets better, with other people it seems to keep going. Maybe try taking probiotics (eating yogurt, or supplements) to help rebalance everything?

Hormonal contraceptives increase your risk of developing a yeast infection--no real way around that. This one might have just been a coincidence, but it's also possible that this might just be your lot in life when it comes to HBC.

You might try to "head it off at the pass" with some probiotic therapy. Insert one to two capsules of acidophilus once a week and step it up to twice a day for a few days at the first sign of symptoms. Being extra kind to your vagina in the form of cotton underwear, no bubble baths, and nothing perfumed (including soap and bodywash) near your vagina. Some individuals also like to sleep naked or at least sans underwear so their vaginas can air out at night.

With the soreness, you might be sensitive to the Monistat. For me, Monistat and similar OTC remedies burn and hurt more than the yeast infection. Now I stick to using at home vinegar/water, peroxide, acidophilus, and/or gentian violet remedies.
