Hi there :) This is my first post here I've been watching this community for a while and I think it is fantastic. Anyway, I have a little bit of paranoia that I would like advice on:

Im currently on BC and have been for well over a year now and have been sexually active for about the same. Usually my period arrives on the 3rd day of the placebo pills. However it hasn't arrived yet! it is over 24 hours overdue and I'm a little worried BUT I am wondering if it has anything to do with taking antibiotics? Can it delay periods? I know that it can affect the effectiveness of BC, and for that reason my SO and I have been using condoms (we also followed the 7 day rule, and with extra precaution we used condoms for about 10 days after I had finished my antibiotic course).

I know I am probably paranoid as I have been safe - but just to kinda, relieve my worries, is it known that antibiotics can affect periods when on the pill? Thanks!

It's not uncommon for your withdrawal bleed to move around during your placebo week even if it's been like clockwork in the past. Mine comes Tuesday or Wednesday, it varies, and some of my roommates and friends on HBC have told me every so often the day they start bleeding changes. I don't know if antibiotics could affect it, but being sick could be throwing things a bit out of whack. It's also pretty common to occasionally skip a withdrawal bleed on HBC. :)
