I've had genetal warts for a little over a year now. Well, that I've noticed. I thought for a few weeks it was molluscum, but I was wrong. I haven't had sex since Feb of 2007.

Anyway. Most of them are gone. And they were bad. They were all over the inside of my labia, and there were a few in the creases of my thighs and on the top of mound, but as of late, its kind of switched around. None really around my labia, just in the creases of my thighs. But these ones have gotten really bad. Its where my underwear rubs, and because I'm overweight my pants rub there too. So, these are very irritated. Yesterday, there was a huge amount of blood on my underwear and a few spots on my (light grey) pants. There's a whole issue with the normal doc I see, but basically, I'm trying to find out if there is anything like a home remedy that I can use to see if it can help? It wouldn't be actually in my vagina or even where it could get inside - its just where my thighs meet my vagina, in the creases. Every where else, they're pretty much gone or not painful and just there.

Or if anyone has any advice or something? I don't really want to go to the doctor and have them be rude to me because I don't think I can really handle that. I have no problem with people poking around if they aren't rude about it, but I always seem to have a bad experience with a OB-GYN.

I know this is rather scattered, but I would love some advice.

Thanks.

Have you had these professionally diagnosed as genital warts?

The most effective treatments for warts -- the ones that best ensure clearance and reduce the likelihood of a second outbreak -- are prescription products. That said, you don't need to see a gynecologist for this: any general practitioner should be able to take care of a prescription for you.

Have you tried looking into something like a sexual health clinic? I don't know where you're located, but perhaps there's something like a Planned Parenthood in your area? Barring that, is there another general practitioner in your area you could try, or get recommendations from your friends on a good GP?

You never need to put up with a doctor being disrespectful to you.

Anyway, there are some proposed home remedies for genital warts here, (http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/genital_warts.html) but I'm not aware of any data on their efficacy.
