First of all, let me just say that I'm pretty bad at taking my BC pills at the exact time everyday.  I usually miss one, take two the next day, miss again, two the next day. So basically I take 2 every other day. I've never had any complications with this concerning cramping or spotting. But, and this has only happened once before, I missed two in a row this week.  I read the little "owners manual" for my pills (Low-Ogestrel) and it said to take two pills for two days to catch up, which I'm doing.  It also said that I may experience cramping and spotting, which I am. But I wouldn't even call it spotting. It's like I have a heavy, brown, period. Now, I don't want to ask if this is "normal" since everyone is different, but has anyone else experienced such a heavy period after missing two pills in a row? Can I expect it to go away in a few days (I'm only in the first week)? When I missed two in a row once before, the spotting wasn't nearly this heavy. Should I be worried?
Thanks!!

I've only missed one pill ever (and stupidly didn't take it the next day, just threw it away), and I had a full-on "period" complete with cramps for like a week. It's not anything to be concerned about, it's just super annoying - it may have something to do with where in the pack of pills you are, you may have had more hormones built up in the past so that missing some didn't trigger a withdrawal bleed like it seems to have now.

If I miss two pills in a row, I generally start experiencing heavy enough spotting I need to wear a light pad. And it won't go away until I take my placebo week and let a full on withdrawal bleed happen.
