Yesterday I ended my period and today is that day where the system finishes emptying everything out. But yesterday and today I have terrible pressure and sometimes little sharp pains in my ovaries area on my ab area. Now normally during my period and especially when I ovulate I get pressure in those areas,,,does anyone else?

But now that my periods over and I'm not ovulating I'm nervous its something like ovarian cancer. I've heard that one of the only real symptoms of ovarian cancer are pressure and sharp pains in the lower ab areas and lower back. I'm now nervous and maybe I don't have to be, is this normal? It's not exactly like cramps, its more on the lower sides where the ovaries would be, and its more like pressure and a little sharp at times. It's less today, I barely notice but yesterday it was worse.

Thanks!

I wouldn't say it was cancer (but don't quote me on that, because these things do happen). But cysts are likely, I had a few small ones when I was teen that caused some awful pains (a lot like ovulation pain but sharper) that would happen right before and directly after my period. My gyno told me i most likely had endometriosis (spelling is bad, sorry) but she never wanted to find out for sure and i ended up on birth control for years just to find out later that I did not have it, that the pains i was having were likely due to cysts and my uterus contracting up and down from going to have my period to just getting off my period. I also found this out after having my daughter a year and half ago and the pains were awful a month after wards when my uterus was continuing to shrink back after giving birth. I asked my NEW gyno and she said it was just that, the uterus contracting down, which could push against the ovaries.

Again, don't quote me on this, doctors differ in opinions, but this seemed the most logical to me. It hurts like ovulation and doesnt like long, but still hurts like hell.
When you get money or have a chance to go to maybe a PP, have them check it out just in case.
