Gas pains after sex anyone?

  This may seem odd but I'm pretty sure someone else must experience the same....
  Quite often after sex I get pains in my abdomen and feel like I'm full of gas for anything from an hour to the rest of the day after sex. Its not particularly pleasant but since my digestive system is a fickle creature anyway, it's nothing I can't deal with. Just wondering why this happens, if anyone else has had the same happen to them, and whether anything can be done to reduce the discomfort...

Note, I'm aware that air gets pushed into the vagina during sex and when it comes out it sounds like a fart XD this has happened to me too and I'm not getting them confused, this is definately gas inside my abdomen :/ halp?

I've never had this happen that I can remember, but at a guess I would say you are probably breathing with your mouth open and swallowing lots of extra air. I guess if you could remember to breathe more carefully it might not happen, but I know *I* wouldn't be thinking about breathing... ;)

yeah I actually considered this but wasn't sure :/ will see what theories everyone else comes up with, but I think this is the most likely explanation...

This happens to me too. I tend to be crampy and sore for awhile after sex. I haven't been able to figure out what the pain is from, just wanted to let you know you are not the only one.

I'm wondering if you're feeling cramping from your uterus, as opposed to gas cramps. They can be in the same general area, so it would be easy to get them confused. Is it possible that your partner is hitting your cervix, causing your uterus/cervix to cramp and feel sore afterwards? Orgasms could be causing cramps also.
