I had my period on January 1, and it was a normal 5 day period. I was expecting my period 28 days later like normal, and it never came. I was about 6 days late so I took a pregnancy test. It came up negative. So I didn't think anything of it because sometimes I'm late or I skip.

About a week and half to two weeks ago, I started having these pains in my stomach/abdominal area so after they didn't stop for a couple days, I took another pregnancy test. That one too came up negative. A couple days later, the pains stopped.

About 4 days ago, I had sex. Later on when I used the restroom, I was bleeding a little. I thought that maybe he'd scratched me or something during foreplay because I hadn't had any PMS symptoms. Normally I cramp and my breasts are very tender before my period. My periods are normally semi-heavy, and I have terrible cramps for the first two days. It's been 4 days now, and I'm still bleeding. It's been VERY light, and I haven't had any cramps at all.

Is there a possibility that I could be pregnant and the tests are just not detecting it?

Notes:
-I have had sex several times since my January 1st period.
-I am not on any kind of birth control nor have I ever been.
-I've had my period for 8 years, and they've always been the same.

not likely. Please don't forget the you period can be affected by, well, everything and anything, and that your cycle will probably change repeatedly through out your life, it sounds like you just lucked into getting a light period this time around.

About the only way you could be pregnant and the test still saying negative is if you have an ectopic pregnancy (where the fetus implants in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus.) A lot of times, ectopic pregs don't show up for a couple months on a pregnancy test.

However, with ectopics, you usually get your period as usual.

There've been maybe half a dozen posters to VP (probably more like 3-5, but I am rounding high because I forget exact numbers) who've said, "I was pregnant and didn't get a positive test till about 3-4 months in" or the like. Some women just don't excrete hCG into their urine quickly. However, near as I can tell, this is very rare. Also, the hCG is in the blood stream, and shows up normally in a blood test (unlike ectopics or "this blastocyst is defective" issues, where hCG is faint even to blood tests, I believe).

And decidual bleeding can happen in non-ectopics! My kid is nine now, and the decidual bleeding that I had early on totally fooled me, 'cause I'd had other light, spotty periods that year when we deliberately ditched the contraception.

Anyway, to the OP in specific: what contraception were you using since your Jan 1 period? Are you sure that it was used correctly? Presuming you were using condoms, the chances are moderately low that you're pregnant, and that this is just a light, wonky period. (The New England ice-storm of '08 hit us with 4 days of No Power right around when I'd likely have been ovulating, for instance. Between that and general holiday stress? I was so not surprised that my period was about 2 weeks late.)

However, I know well how stressy it can be to not have one's period! (Finals + hypothyroidism once put me in a 68-day hiatus between the end of one period and the beginning of the next! Three pregnancy tests, including one at the campus health center... Nope, not pregnant.) So if it wouldn't break the bank, a blood test would be the very most sure way to Find Out, I suspect. Assuming that you didn't have any contraceptive "oops" moments? You're likely to be reassured that this is just a variant of late/skipped.

Mind, if you're getting your blood taken anyway, I suggest asking for a thyroid check as well -- my irregular periods were one of the few signs of my hypothyroidism, and I always thought it was "just normal for me" to be so irregular.

This is not true. An at home pregnancy test will not detech the increased HCG level until two weeks after conception. The chances of eptopic pregnancy are very low.
