Ok, I have been on the combined pill (Cilest) for about 9 months now and everything has been going fine, no side effects or anything (which according to the internet is a miracle with Cilest). I don't really have problems with taking it every day, I have an alarm set on my phone and I never miss any, I didn't on any weight and I went up a cup size. So yay!

However for the past 5 months or so I have been getting a YI literally every month. It clears up during my period but about 2 weeks into a new pill pack it appears again. My boyfriend and I don't use condoms so after a few months I figured he might have caught it off me, and be passing it back, so we both got treatment. Then all was good until the middle of the next month when lo and behold, IT CAME BACK >.<
This is getting very very annoying. Then I read in the treatment instructions that YIs can be cause by the pill, and am wondering if this may actually be the problem, since I never ever got one before starting on Cilest. Therefore I was thinking of switching to the implant.
I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any ideas about how this switch will affect me, if I didn't really get any side effects with Cilest, am I likely to get anything crazy happening with the Implanon? I know it's different for everyone, etc, but even just personal experience with this kind of thing would be helpful in knowing what to expect.

Really I'm asking 2 things: how likely is it that the pill is what is causing the YI? and is it worth switching to the implant to try and solve this or is there any other way to dealwith it, since simply treating the YI doesnt seem to stop it coming back?

Thanks ^^
