Ugh, I really messed up this time. I take birth control because my periods were not regular and I would have to deal with A LOT of pain.

But somehow, I messed up something. Last week, I thought I had missed a pill and ended up taking two. In reality, I hadn't missed one at all. Ugh, and now I didn't get my period. Could this have messed this up?

Or is it just possible to go through all the symptoms and just NOT bleed? I'm kind of worried....

i'm no doctor...

from what i know and experience though, hormones can do a lot to mess up your cycle. i would suggest using protection for at least 2 weeks, possibly a month. sounds pretty normal that you would skip your period though. i wouldn't be surprised if it came in a couple days though.

they say that the first 3 months of taking the pill you can expect missing or having irregular periods.

hope that helped somewhat. someone else will probably have more valuable info to offer than I. :)

My advice: call your doctor and ask :) but i know that that's not exactly what you wanted to hear...

Part of it probably depends on what kind of pill you're on--a "mini" pill formula? Or not? And I assume that when you took the second pill in that one day, it was the one that was supposed to be the next day's... did you then not take one the day after, or just move the rest up and and the pack a day early? I'd be surprised if just doing waht you did made you skip a period--but everyone's body is different and reacts more or less strongly to changes. *shrug* mine won't skip periods even if i want it to it seems :)... (not that i want it to w/o me trying... eesh... i should be careful what i ask for, i don't wanna go down the pregnancy path). The long and short of it is, there could be another reason you "skipped"... if there's a chance you could be pregnant, you might take a test for that. Otherwise, it could be the messed up pills, it could be stress, it could be just your body messing with your mind. But I'd use a backup method for a couple weeks, or at least until/unless your doctor tells you that they b/c will still be effective, just to be safe.

yes, i know i rambled, sorry :)

Oh good, I'm not the only person who's done that!

It didn't seem to mess up my period when I did that, but it's always possible.
