Hi everyone. i looked under some of the subsections for the answer to this question, but am coming up short.
For the past few days--I'd say three or so--I've noticed an itching sensation around my vagina. There is no change in the odor or appearance of discharge, only this occasional itch that is moderately uncomfortable. I haven't had any sex with my boyfriend in at least a week and half (yay, distance!). At first I thought I was having a reaction to a new soap, but when I stopped using that, the itching did not go away. Today I noticed that the sensation is sort of...creeping backward, which I can assure you is not uncomfortable.I I have had BV before and this is nothing like that at all, and with yeast infections there would be some change in discharge and odor as well. Is it possible that I just got some sort of irritant inside and my body is taking longer to expel it, or has this happened to anyone else? I don't really want to go to the doctor if this is something benign.
Thank you!

You should see a doctor to diagnose it if you think it may be this, or, you can try an at-home remedy like unsweetened, plain yogurt that can't breed drug-resistant infections in case it isn't yeast at all.
