[identity profile] villagetheatre.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] vaginapagina
For those of you that read my freaked out post last night (http://community.livejournal.com/vaginapagina/14792664.html), I just wanted to update you. I checked myself again when I got home at about 1am, and the bump was gone! Just kidding, it's still there, just not as close to my vagina as I thought it had been. It's still only one, doesn't hurt or itch, no burning when I pee, and it looks like a tiny version of the Molluscus (sp?) bump that I have near my bikini area on one thigh, so I'm pretty sure that's what it is, or it could just be irritation or a pimple!

Any last opinions?

take a deep breath and relax.

google pictures of various stds if you want to check the appearance against them, but one bump is not that much to be concerned about. which is what everyone told you on your first post, reiterated on your second, and i'll say on your third.

skin irritation is common. you will need to come to terms with this as you continue to remove hair, as it is a common occurrence.

Yeah...its almost definitely just a bump. You get bumps all over your skin! And its ok! Its normal. Especially when you are removing hair, the skin is absolutely bound to get irritated and bumpy. The fact that its near your genitals doesn't really mean much of anything. If it looks like molluscus, its probably molluscus. If it looks like an ingrown hair, its probably an ingrown hair. If it looks like a pimple, its probably a pimple. I know it can be scary, but please, take a deep breath, and remind yourself that its just skin. And skin gets bumps on it. ;)

If it doesn't hurt or cause you any physical discomfort, I personally wouldn't worry. Herpes and genital warts aren't dangerous and to me it doesn't sound like it's either of the two anyway.
Even if the bump was one of the two, worrying about it wouldn't change anything.
