So, completely frivolous, but I'm curious...

...who else started their period this morning? lol!

I woke up to the oh-so-lovely stained undies that come from starting in the middle of the night. I'm crampy, irritated, about to start Finals week and SO not in the mood for mensies. Plus, every time I get my period I (for some reason) am under the impression that I'm the ONLY one in the entire world dealing with this bullshit and I've always wondered whose cycle lines up with mine and who's bleeding and annoyed along with me, haha.

So, who all is in the same boat today?

Yeah, the last brand of BC was not for me. And in all honesty, I probably should have taken a hormone-free break before I started my current brand (I'm only 4 days in), but I wanted to get the worst of the side effects -- if I was going to experience bad side effects -- over with before I travel for Christmas.

yep that's me. but i've been tracking my cycle for awhile now so it wasn't all that surprising. i use cloth so i just put a pad on before i went to sleep last night. i would have preferred not waking up sick as dog at 6 this morning because of it though.

I woke up to mine yesterday. It usually lasts 7-8 days. I leave on a 12 hour flight to Wales in three days.

haha, i'm always really careful to plan trips and things around my period. i don't even want to leave the house when i'm on it, let alone make a plane trip. i'm very medieval about all of it...just lock me in the tower til i'm "clean" again, lol.

well, i was SUPPOSED to get mine today. well actually, yesterday.. or tuesday. hasn't happened though.
i'm on the pill though so i guess i'm just happy that i don't have to deal with this hell, at least not yet.

I started yesterday but I can sympathise with the irritableness and cramping! Yesterday was the first time I've actually been woken up by cramp, I always get it pretty bad but it's never interrupted my sleeping! It did mean I didn't get stained sheets though, so at least that was useful. But it meant I was more irritable than usual because I hadn't slept properly :-P

I'm not in the same boat; I started mine on the 29th. The same day I was supposed to take a 5 1/2 car ride back home from my grandparents place. It wasn't too bad, I was able to sleep most of the way and my mom bought me a mint chocolate cookie milkshake from Krystal's b/c she knew I was crampy/bitchy/blah feeling.

This month is going to be fun b/c the 29th is my birthday - and I ALWAYS start the exact same day every month. Good times. *sarcasm*

Mine "stopped" two days ago and I went to the bathroom on my break and BAM. Blood. I was so annoyed, considering it had been nearly two days since I last bled. Sooooo annoying.

I started spotting last night, then full on period today.
I never really get bad cramps, but all morning at work I wanted to die.
My uterus felt like it was being ripped apart on the inside and then stabbed to pieces by little devils.

That's the worst. I get really bad achy thighs and sore, sore knees. I think it's because when I'm PMSing, I only sleep on my sides, and i keep my thighs unconsciously clenched together. Never knew why this is, but I think it's because when I got my very first period, I slept on my back wearing a pad and woke up to blood pooled up in the back of my underwear. Sorta scarred me and I slept sitting up in a chair for the rest of that mensie =[

I finished mine today. Thank the FSM, cause it's nearing finals and a period is the LAST thing I need physically. My body doesn't take stress well (I get canker sores like mad, my IBS freaks the hell out, major stress head/neck/back aches, etc) so um.. not bleeding is a tick mark in the 'plus' column.

Yeah right here! But this month started out right for me in that I woke up just in time to eat something and take some ibuprofen, so I had just the slightest of cramps.


And, I use the cup, so when there are no cramps, being on my period is my favorite time of month (seriously...I don't know why.)
