green menstrual pads

I'd like to find an alternative to my pads, something I can reuse and won't feel guilty about using. I know about the menstrual cups but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with something I'd have to insert (I don't like tampons), though I might end up trying it anyway.

What methods do you know about? What's worked for you?

I agree, cloth pads for the win if you're uncomfortable with inserting anything! I usually find myself a bit too lazy to use cloth pads myself, since I can't even keep up with my own regular laundry.

To be honest, I thought the idea of anything being inserted (which is what drove me away from even trying tampons) was horrible and nearly mortifying, but I do love my menstrual cup! I know this is a very biased voice, but I think anything is worth a try, especially since various cups go on sale for about $15 at some places online.
