hi, my name is shannon. i'm a long time member but first time posting :) I had a question. About a year ago i noticed that one of my labia was significantly bigger than the other (it wasn't before)
I've been told that it's not uncommon for a woman to have "asymmetrical labia" it's usually due to the insertion and removing of tampons (which i don't use) or masturbation. I was hoping that this could be 'curable' somehow, but apparently, once stretched, it stays that way forever. I was just wondering if this was as common as i was told it was? I still very uncomfortable about the change, but i suppose it's something to get used to and love over time.

My labia are asymmetrical, but I certainly don't insert tampons enough for that to happen, and my masturbation isn't of a style or frequency to affect the shape of my labia. I think that some people have asymmetrical labia because we just do and it's fine.

I really worried that this was just a rare occurance, and that future sexual partners would feel awkward or turned off by it :b It's nice to be reassured that i'm healthy and not alone. Thank you :)

Having them two diffrent sized is normal. Everybody looks diffrent down there. I know I have one that's bigger than the other. It's nothing to horrible. I'm sure you'll get used to it fairly quickly. Just know that there isn't nothing wrong with the way things look down there, ok? ^-^

i think that it's the same as breasts or testicles, one is usually bigger than the other on almost everyone

mine are really uneaven, so much so that one sticks out when my legs are together. i was really self concous at first, but now i'm pretty much over it and enjoy the variation. my girlfriend recently told me that when we were first together she thought that my inner labia was my clit- until i directed her- she has really symmetrical inner labia.

Mine aren't even either. In fact one is so much longer that sometimes it gets uncomfortable. I used to be really self conscious about it, but my boyfriend says he doesn't mind at all and now I don't care.

Mine sometimes get uncomfortable too. But not enough to be painful or anything.
I was really embarrased before, but i told the girl that i am seeing about it and she seems pretty cool with it. Hearing stories about other peoples experiences has certainly made me more comfortable about myself. Thank you so much :D

Even and Uneven

My labia is a perfect match.. but my breasts are seriously mismatched. One is quite a bit larger than the other, which bothers me every once in a while when I find myself in front of a mirror picking myself apart for no apparent reason. (tsk-tsk)

My husband never comments on it... I suppose as long as they *work* who cares what they look like? Lol!

lol! yes, my friend/ex-girfriend has really uneven breasts. I loved it though! I thought they looked so much more beautiful and interesting that way! She didn't agree though, she hates them and is really self-consious about it.
I'm not sure why i was so in love with her "imperfection" but hate mine. It's kind of weird ;)
