Hi! As you probably know, from time to time the VP Team makes posts on behalf of people who wish to remain anonymous or who do not have LJ accounts. This is one such post. Thanks in advance for your helpful comments!

Question: Is it possible to get my period over with faster?
Background: I'm on NuvaRing. Like normal, I took the ring out on Monday and my period started up on Wednesday, just like it always does. Sometimes it'll last through Sunday. Sometimes it'll be done by Saturday afternoon. However, this time around, I'd really like to be finished and done on by Saturday, early preferably. And I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to do this now that I'm already bleeding.
I'm open to "natural" ideas as well as advice involving the NuvaRing.
Many thanks!

Date: 2008-09-29 01:51 pm (UTC)but I'm glad you made this post because I'm also interested in other answers. once I see that I have my period, thus no babies inside, I want it to go away asap.

Date: 2008-09-29 03:37 pm (UTC)Totally okay to wear the ring while bleeding (many people start or finish their withdrawal bleeds with the ring in). The only caveat I can think of is sometimes removing a tampon, it likes to hook on the ring and pull it out a little. Just keep an eye on it so you don't lose it in the toilet. And sometimes it likes to snuggle down into my menstrual cup and hide.
