I'm sorry that this is really graphic, but in reference to last night's post, it's.. getting worse and I'm really starting to freak out. I called my doctor and she's away for the weekend, and I really don't know what's going on, if I should be worried, and who I could see.
Now not only am I still spotting a bit, but this afternoon I expelled a solid chunk of something skin-colored about the size of my little toe. Seeing as it's day 18 of my fairly regular 28-day cycle (though it's my first cycle off of nuvaring), I really don't understand why I'd be bleeding at all and as much as I'd usually pass off the chunk as uterine lining (though that's never happened to me, even during my period) I just really don't understand what's going on since I'm pretty well exactly ten days between having finished my period and getting it.
I really hope somebody can help me out. :S Thank you so much

In your situation I would probably also be a bit worried but considering that you've recently stopped using HBC, I feel like it's probably more likely that causing this than it being caused by something more worrying. HBC can change your cycle for a while after stopping taking it.

Maybe you could ring around some sexual health clinics or other GPs and talk to a doctor or nurse about it.

I really don't think you need to freak out. Sometimes our bodies just bleed for no discernable reason. Maybe your system is just confused from going off the ring, and enjoying its new freedom to have a period whenever it damn well pleases. ;)

I know unexpected blood can be scary, but try to stay calm. It sounds to me like its just "one of those things" rather than some kind of medical PROBLEM.

I just came off HBC, and my periods are still wonky and irregular. They did all sorts of tests and aside from PCOS, I'm fine (meaning no active cysts or anything weird looking). I hope this helps in some way to make you feel better. Our bodies can do some pretty weird things, and I'm going through it now! (2 cycles off the pill and still getting random bleeding.)

Hope you feel better!
