Wacky Periods

So my periods have been way off for the last six months or so. I only know of the last six months (thanks to mymonthlycycles.com) and they are very irregular. My period is usually totally gone after six days. I just got my period the day before yesterday. Before I got it, I had really weird discharge. It was really brown and thick. To the point where I was wearing a panty liner. So now, my period seems just about gone. All day today... nothing. I don't really know what is going on. Any ideas? Could it be something else?

Before I try to think of any advice, what's your definition of "very irregular?" It sort of differs vastly for everyone. :)

I think that pantliner-meriting brown discharge is what people call spotting, and it's pretty normal to have that for a day or two before and after the actual bleeding part of a period. Also, sometimes my period will stop for a whole day and then pick up right where it began, so I wouldn't jump to saying it's all over now. (Having a good orgasm might jump start it again, but then again, it might not.) It sounds well within the limits of normal period weirdness to me, especially if it's been generally irregular for six months.

Sounds like my period. I have brown discharge for about a day and a half, then it almost seems to go away, then the red blood comes. I wouldn't worry.
