For a while now,  every month, after my period I experience an itching and burning sensation down below with a strange watery discharge. I was wondering if this is an infection or is it normal?
Thank you in advance!

I got similar itchiness from an allergy to fragrances, which are used in pads labeled as "unscented" (and of course there's no ingredients list on the damn things to check, you have to call and beg for the list). I switched to cloth pads and haven't had any more problems, but organic disposables (pads and tampons, I'd assume) are probably just as good if allergy is the problem. Also, discharge normally varies over the course of your cycle, so if it's always been watery right after your period, that might be completely normal for you.

In addition to what folks mentioned about pads, especially scented ones -- and I'd probably consider that as a first likely cause -- your period might also be triggering a mild yeast infection each cycle. The watery discharge doesn't really sound consistent with that, but then again, YIs don't always display with all symptoms possible.

If you can, you might try switching to something like cloth pads or (a) menstrual cup(s) for a few cycles to see if that improves the situation any.
