My labia minora are swollen. Not a lot, but they are feeling a bit more plump and stick out a little more than normal.

History: I stopped taking birth control 2 months ago because my husband and I are planning on getting pregnant in January. (I am currently out of the country until then.)

I did mess up my last week of pills by missing 2 or 3 in a row prior to me leaving. However I have done this many times before and never got pregnant.

While getting used to being off HBC, my breasts became severely tender, my nipples grew extremely sensitive, my period was two weeks late, and I experienced lower abdominal cramping. This all made me think I could be pregnant, so I took a pregnancy test. Negative. Not pregnant!

My period started the day after I took the pregnancy test and it lasted close to 4 days which is my normal cycle while on HBC.

Within a week after my period, all of the other symptoms went away except for slightly sensitive nipples.

Just this month I've noticed this issue with my labia, and my nipples are very sensitive again!

Also, I've just noticed that when I squeeze my breasts, cloudy white fluid comes out.

Is this all "normal" withdraws from HBC?? Should I be seeing a doctor about this?

I have been on birth control for going on 5 years prior to this.

E.T. Oh great and I just posted this in my personal LJ. *DIES*

I had a couple of those side effects when I quit taking HBC, but they all went away and none of them came back. I would go ahead and take a pregnancy test just in case.

I think but am not sure about my answer. this all happened with my cousin and im going to school to be an obstetrician, but while you're on birth control your body is tricked into thinking its pregnant which inhibits the bodies need to release eggs. after going off of the birth control even though you haven't had a baby some bodies believe that you conceived which make your body reacts like you had a baby. swollen/enlarged sensitive breasts. increased labia size and ejaculation of white fluid from your breasts. I believe you should make an appointment with a doctor to get checked out for certain though.

'while you're on birth control your body is tricked into thinking its pregnant'

that's not exactly it...from my understanding hormonal bc makes the body believe it's already ovulated and thus doesn't need to ovulate again.

I agree, from all I've head your body is tricked into thinking it's already released an "egg", therefore, it doesn't need to again.
