BC and period length?

Hey! I had a question concerning my birth control and lighter periods. I've been taking Yaz for over a year now, and so far it has worked out well for me. I usually (and by usually I mean pretty much always) start my period around Monday or Tuesday and am all cleaned out around the following Sunday. However, during my last period, I stopped bleeding the Friday after I started. This was strange for me because it was a couple days sooner than usual. It has never ended that soon before. It's always the exact same amount of time. I was wondering what might have caused this? Is my BC starting to give me shorter periods? Could it have been that I just didn't have as much "residue?" as I usually do? I'm just curious to see if there are any thoughts on this. Thanks guys!

i found all sorts of silly things happening after i was on a bc for a year or more. ive been on ortho tricyclene lo for over a year now though and i plan to stick with it. my periods are almost never the same. but typically really start around tuesday (sometimes i start to spot a week before my pd! sometimes i dont spot.) sometimes it lasts 4 days, sometimes 6.
i would think that you are probably just fine.
