anniversary question

So here is a question for all you girls out there...

Have you ever done anything special for yourself on the anniversary of the day that you lost your virginity? I don't always remember my anniversary, but mine was yesterday and for some reason I did remember it and felt I should do something, but couldn't come up with any good ideas. Do you have any?

mine's november 11th. i lost it on memorial day. me and my bf joked that we gave it up in honor of soldiers.

i haven't had a one year yet since i just lost it last year. i'll have to be sure to do something special that day.

Mine was the same date I got with my ex, and the date we had set for the wedding. So it no longer has many good connotations. And it was five years yesterday, actually. :)

mine was sometime in november of when I was 15, don't remember the date. of course, I have sex with my husband to commemorate that day (or any ol' day), even though he isn't the one I lost my virginity to!

Mine happens to be the same date my boyfriend and I started going out...We're approaching our one year anniversary end of August...so we'll definitely have to celebrate some how. LOL, my way would be by having sex...yet again

Mine is September 6th. I remember it and try to commemorate it with something fun and sexual. If I'm not seeing anyone, I have a pamper and masturbation day. If I am seeing someone, it's a declared sex holiday.

I don't believe in virginity... it's a concept that enshrines the notion that one of the most important parts of female identity (that which makes us a 'woman') is defined by men. We don't have a word for the first day you ride a bike, for your first job, for a good many things... and I don't think sex is any different. That might just be me though.
That aside, I do remember the day I first had sex, it was on valintines day, I was thirteen, we had been together for six months and were together for four years after that... there were two roses, one white, one red. Because he was a poet and symbolism moved him. But I was young then, critical, but without the tools to thoroughly understand my world. I don't really commemorate it. I remember it on the day, and I always have sex, but then I have sex pretty much every other day of the year too, so it's not particularily commemorative...

Mine was technically on my boyfriend's bday (Dec 19... though we didn't start humping regularly until I got the pill). Haven't reached the one year yet but I suppose we'll celebrate it again by a party and some celebratory sex. :)

i actually haven't even reached a year anniversary yet, but it was on a friday the 13th, heh. it really doesn't matter much to me at all though, so i wouldn't think to celebrate. but if you feel like treating yourself somehow or something, go for it!

Mine is July 17 -- I've never done anything in particular, but I always remember which day it is.

The first anniversary of that day, I had a date (with a different guy than I lost my virginity with, obviously) and JFK Jr's plane went down. It was a nice reminder that life goes on, even after big life changes like that, and even after relationships end.O

I remember my day, but I also don't think that there's anything special about that particular day to count from. My then-boyfriend and I were already so sexually intimate by that point that the Day of Penetrative Intercourse was, if anything, kind of a let-down. We'd already had amazing oral sex and some anal play, both of which felt a lot more intimate and a lot more like "crossing a boundary." I've always thought it was kind of silly to set aside penis-in-vagina intercourse as somehow privileged over other kinds of sex, as though it's the only kind that "counts."

As for my period, I don't know exactly what day it was; all I remember was it was in June right after 6th grade, and I was SOOO glad I got it during summer vacation so no one would have to find out and I had all summer to learn how to deal with it.

My period came right after the end of fifth grade June or July..while not exactly wonderful at the time I think I might start to celebrate it!

Well, let's see. There's the year I came home to my boyfriend's apartment only to find it filled with robbers. When I went to a pay phone to call the cops, someone lifted my wallet. Another year I lost on Jeopardy. Six years ago my oldest niece was killed that day. This year I went to the funeral of one of my closest friends. It's been a consistently dreadful day -- especially these past few years.

I don't remember the date of mine at all. I know it was in the fall because my ex and I had both just gotten back to college after being apart for a summer and we couldn't keep our hands off each other.

Now I remember it with discomfort and embarassment because of how poorly that relationship turned out. That and he didn't have a clue and wasn't willing to get one either =/

i remember mine is february 21 (the day after my little sisters birthday, lol) but i really don't do anything to celebrate. we were already really intimate without having actual sex that it wasn't that big of a deal for me. and it turned out to be not as fun as i had built up in my mind, lol.

Hmm... I don't remember the dates... I was 12 (young, yes, but I was willing ) and it was summer, but that's about it. That was with a boy. I'm not even sure what I would count as losing virginity with a girl, but my first serious makeout session was the spring of that year. The girl experience was a lot longer and more memorable. The boy one was a let down. I think it lasted maybe 5 minutes, 4 of which hurt! It's been 12 years, so I haven't really kept track of it. Some diary somewhere in a big landfill has all the important info!

If I remembered and wanted to celebrate, I would commemorate by indulging myself with something sex-related. Sex toys can be pricey, as can cute lingerie and good videos. I'd pick up something from one of those categories that I wouldn't ordinarily splurge on for myself. Hell, I like that idea. I should make up a date and do that.
