Nuva ring, in or out?

I'm on the nuva ring...my boyfriend hates it and says he can feel it during sex....

the doctor said that the ring can stay out 3 hours at a time so I've been taking it out before sex and putting it back in right away after.

Safe, or no?

I mean its not like its a female condom blocking anything, its really more so of the chemicals that it releases inside.

It's safe. Are you sure you're putting it in all the way back? I was on it for awhile and it took me forever to get it in deep enough where my then boyfriend couldn't feel it and it wouldn't work itself out.
