'Finally, The Vagina Monologues entire premise is anti-man. The plays are "monologues," which is code word for "masturbation." Sexuality involves two people. To have a healthy, successful sexual relationship, one must have a "dialogue."'
I was going to try to go into all the flaws in this, but really.. what's the point? *sigh*
im fem theory we were just talking about penn states vm's and general reactions the the vm's. and then i read this. printing it out and taking it to class tomorrow so all can discuss. and asking my friends at pennstate if they know this person so i can send her a "get a clue" card.
that's hardly worth reading. i wonder if little miss "independant" is gonna get lambasted for that piece of sexist crap. Cupid? romance?
"Instead of advocating love and intimacy, current leaders, particularly feminists, encourage raunchy, loveless sex." oh, yeah... i hear feminists encouraging that on a daily basis. in fact, it's in my handbook under "giving away your self-respect".
"Take Back the Date?" i think my reality meter just gave out. what an offensive piece of garbage. i wonder if Ms. Pawlik's group is really the "Independant Woman's Club (until we guilt a man into marrying us with outdated sexist ideals) Club".
What shocked me most was not the loads of crap that went into that article, but the fact that it was written by the president of the Independent Woman's Club! I don't think i have to say any more, do I?
