SO, I am due  to have my period on my wedding day. I am on the nuvaring.
Do you think it'd be more effective to work for sure if I do
12 weeks in/1 out, from now until then,
or
To just keep it in for 4 weeks at the time of the event? I want to do what will most likley allow me to have NO bleeding.
Opinions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Do you mean 12 weeks in? Cause I'm pretty sure it loses protection after 4.

Ohh I see what you mean, like stack it, as you would pills, and just miss out the "period" week.

See if you did that once it would rearrange your period week so it would come on a different day.

You might spot during the fourth week if your system's not used to the amount of hormones (I did, for the first couple of cycles I did 4 in/1out). Sooo if you don't want to spot, I'd say do whatever you can to familiarize your system with the hormones beforehand. If you have a few cycles to adjust before the big day, I vote for stacking!!! (Less math involved!)

Good luck!

i'd do 4w in, 1w out, then 3w in, 1w out just to move it around. less likely to have breakthrough bleeding at the time of your wedding if you rearrange your period instead of trying to suppress it. through the event. all are feasible and appropriate though, so try whatever strikes your fancy.

Okay, yes, this comment better explains what I was trying to say in my other one :)

I also vote for stacking in advance to get your body used to it. That way you have less chance of inconvenient breakthrough bleeding.

Another option that would let you totally avoid the period week/risk of breakthrough bleeding coinciding with your wedding is to play around a little with the timing of your rings. This would let you reschedule when your period comes/when that 4th week would be. Start working in this time leading up to the wedding to change your cycle timing by leaving one ring in for the normal 3 weeks, then a week off, then maybe do a 4-week ring, however it would work for you. Hopefully that made sense...

I had the same problem for my wedding/honeymoon too. I replaced it every 3 weeks without taking a week off. It worked just fine.

For about 3 months prior to the wedding... I forgot to add.
