So I just switched to a low dose BC (20mg of microgestrin) because my old pill was causing me problems. Now everything is fine except for the fact that I am now ravenously hungry all the time! I've been on 2 other pills but they never had this side affect on me. I even lost weight on the last pill I was on. I've read that the pill alone can't make you gain weight, but it may make you hungry thus causing you to eat more. Right now I've been dealing with it by telling myself that I'm not really hungry and it's just the pill, and trying to keep my food intake normal. I'm hoping that will be enough.

What do I do? Will this side affect go away once my body adjusts? At the very lease it is a real annyoance being hungry all the time. At the most, I don't want to blow up like a balloon! Thanks!

I get that way regardless of being on the pill or not. Sorry I can't help more, but you can always snack on healthy stuff!

That happened to me when I went on microgestrin. I think it only lasted two or three weeks; it's been about 12 weeks now and has gone away.

maybe you're addicted to sugar. Try picking food items that have little sugar in them, the more protein in it, the longer it hangs out in your system keeping you feeling 'full' - sugars break down really quickly and can leave you feeling hungry pretty fast.

I don't have any advice, but I have to say you're not alone. I'm on the ring and lately I could eat the entire house.
