I'm so scared right now. So lately when at the gym if I sit down on a piece of equipment I feel a bit of pain in the bottom left side of my inner labia. So I laid down tonight with a mirror to examine. The skin there looks fine. Nothing is wrong with the skin. How ever when i touch and feel that area I feel something hard beneth the skin. Deep in there. Something thats not supposed to be there. About the size of a ping pong ball I guess. the right side of my labia feels fine. But when I press my left it feels strange. Like something is in there. Keep in mind just from viewing it, everything looks normal...
I cant sleep right now. I am crying too. I dont know what it is. Could it be a cyst? I just want someone to respond and tell me what they think. I am so scared. I am going to call the gyno tomorrow and get an appointment.
I am just so scared..
SOmeone please respond :(
Edit: Its not a skin issue, its how it feels under the skin I think. It feels like something solid is there. I dont feel fluid.

Until then, use warm compresses and try taking a bath.

Date: 2008-07-09 03:31 pm (UTC)The good news is, they're pretty common and not that serious unless they abscess (which mine did, because I was doing all the wrong things - putting ice on it instead of heat, continuing to aggravate it with too much friction and exercise.) Quite often they will resolve on their own and heat/epsom salt baths can help. It is probably worth seeing a doctor about, though, who can determine if there's reason to drain it or put you on antibiotics to help break it up, or if it could be something else. I needed mine drained, but again, only because it had abscessed, and draining is not always a good solution because a cyst can come back unless the whole cyst sac is removed.
Good luck, and try not to stress too much!
