extra skin?

Since I was way young, I've had this extra, almost an extra flap, of skin on the lower portion of my vaginal opening. I can even grab it with my finger tips and squish it. I was just wondering if anyone else had anything like this. My gynecologist has never said anything about it, but it is slightly annoying during sex. Sometimes it gets caught. Do any of you know what it is? If it even has a name, that is. Does it bother you, too?

I think I have the same thing! Sounds like you're describing the same thing I have, at least. It's never bothered me, but I'm a virgin.....I don't think it's really big enough to get caught or anything though.

Mine isn't so much a flap as it looks like the thing that is in the back of your throat (I don't remember what that's called) but a little smaller. I always thought everyone had that, until I figured it was probably a piece of my broken hymen. At least that's what I figure it is! It's never really bothered me during sex as it hangs from the top of my vaginal opening, not the bottom. My gyno has never said anything about it either, so I figure it must be common!

Mine looks like a tongue. It is on the bottom, and sticks out, just like its giving me a raspberry!

Yeah, mine's not really a flap either, more of a...lump...blob...thing. Haha. But I don't know if it's a piece of my hymen...at least in my case....I think mine is partially torn from a bike-riding incident (turns out even on a girls' bike you get a crotch full of metal bar if you fall off hard enough! haha) but there's really no way my hymen has torn enough to leave a dangling piece like that unless it just...self destructed. Which would be kinda cool.

My daughter has one - skin tag. Hers is a little closer to her anus, and gets inflamed sometimes. Poor kid.

Your ob/gyn can refer you to dermatology if you want/need it removed.

thats funny if its what i think youre describing i was just pinching mine earlier cause ive awlays known it was there i just never really examined it. i just think its a natural fold of skin! It's never bothered me. Heh.
