i've been following all of the links that have been previously posted with directions to make cloth menustral pads and am about to give it a try. (this is pretty much how i'm planning to make them.)

just a question about materials... everywhere says it's best to use flannel or terry cloth. what about fleece? in my reading on cloth diapers, fleece is best to put next to the baby's skin because it keeps the wetness away... and i'm thinking, why couldn't that make it a good fabric for pads as well? any ideas?

otherwise i have some flannel and also terrycloth from a terrycloth robe that i'm going to cut up. the terrycloth is only fuzzy on one side but i can just fold it over... which of these fabrics will stick best to my underwear?

thanks!!

Lunapads (http://www.lunapads.com/about/faq.html#4) uses cotton fleece for against the skin, and thus far, those have been my own favorite commercial cloth pads ...

I think flannel is the best to put against your undies. It seems to stick..and not move around very much.
I heard something about using fleece. Sounds like a good idea as well. Happy Pad Making!!!!

I agree

I've used cotton flannel pads with wings that snap around the crotch of your panties and those things don't go anywhere!!

i prefer flanel to terry cloth. if your fleece is cotton, go for it, but synthetics like polarfleece would prevent breathability.
